Need a ride? Find ways that may help you get to your doctors’ appointments

While living with cancer, you may need help finding rides to doctors' appointments and treatments. Finding rides to and from these appointments can be overwhelming. If you need help with transportation, there are apps as well as local and national organizations that may be able to help.*

LivingWith^™

LivingWith is a free app developed by Pfizer Oncology to help manage life with cancer. It lets you send requests for rides from friends and loved ones. Learn more and download it here.

American Cancer Society^®: Road to Recovery

With volunteers all over the country, the American Cancer Society (ACS) helps people living with cancer get rides to their appointments. Here's what you can expect:

• Each volunteer has a good driving record, a valid driver's license and auto insurance
• Each volunteer must complete an ACS training course
• The ACS will try to connect you to a volunteer in your area
  • If there are no volunteers in your area, the ACS may help you find a local organization that offers similar support

CancerCare^®: Transportation assistance

CancerCare is a nonprofit organization that helps people with cancer, including with transportation assistance to doctors' appointments.

To be eligible for transportation assistance, you'll need to:

• Provide confirmation of your cancer diagnosis
• Be actively treating your cancer
• Live in the United States or Puerto Rico
• Meet eligibility guidelines of 250% of the Federal Poverty Limit

To find out if you're eligible, call 1-800-813-HOPE (4673) and complete a short interview with a social worker. CancerCare is available from 9 _AM to 7 _PM ET, Monday through Thursday, and from 9 _AM to 5 _PM ET on Friday.
